Welcome to the LSET International Hackathon for AI-Powered Career Guide!
Hackathons dedicated to AI and technology have emerged as critical catalysts for innovation in the education sector. These events serve as dynamic platforms where educators, technology enthusiasts, and creative thinkers converge to solve pressing career guidance challenges. Participants form teams and work to develop groundbreaking solutions that harness the potential of AI to provide personalised career recommendations and empower students in making informed decisions about their futures. The LSET AI-Powered Career Guide Hackathon unites AI professionals and tech-savvy individuals to devise innovative web applications and analytics that could potentially transform career guidance and student mentorship.
Furthermore, the LSET International AI-Powered Career Guide Hackathon promotes collaboration and cross-disciplinary learning, fostering a culture of openness and knowledge-sharing among participants. The outcome of this event extends far beyond the competition, as many of the ideas and prototypes generated find their way into real-world applications that benefit students, career counsellors, and educational institutions. In an era where the convergence of AI and education is paramount, LSET hackathons play a pivotal role in driving progress, pushing boundaries, and ultimately improving the way students receive career guidance.
Project Overview
An AI-powered website that helps students find suitable career paths based on their interests, skills, and personality traits. The system will use Machine Learning (ML) to recommend career options based on user inputs.
How It Works
User Inputs: The student answers a set of questions about interests, skills, and preferred work style.
Data Processing: The AI model processes the responses using classification algorithms.
Career Prediction: The system suggests career paths (e.g., Software Engineer, Data Scientist, Designer, Doctor, etc.).
Additional Features: Display salary insights, required skills, and learning resources.
Tech Stack
Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for a simple and interactive UI)
Backend: Python (Flask/Django for API handling)
Machine Learning: Scikit-learn (Decision Trees, Random Forest, or Naïve Bayes for classification)
Database: SQLite / Firebase / PostgreSQL (for storing user responses)
Features to Include
Career Recommendation System: AI suggests careers based on user responses.
Personality-based Matching: Use basic ML algorithms to match career paths with student personalities.
Skill & Learning Path: Recommend online courses or books to improve relevant skills.
Future Salary Insights: Show potential salaries and job growth rates.
